Graphene breakthrough in photovoltaics

For years, engineers have been working to improve the technology of turning solar radiation into electricity. Traditional solutions have many disadvantages on which their work focuses. The largest of these are the efficiency of the so-called conversion, i.e. the conversion of kilowatt pika (kWp) into actual kilowatt hours (kWh), loss of performance and viability.
The so far used formula of PV BAR mono- and polycrystalline technologies is susceptible to microfractures during transport and assembly. Any such damage significantly affects their entire system performance. This is due, among other things, to the fact that silicon cell groups are connected in series. This solution, known even from old Christmas lights, where burning one of the bulbs caused them to stop lighting up all the lights placed behind it. According to independent research, even around 70% of new modules have such damage as has been the biggest problem in the industry so far. We solved it – our cells never get microfractured by graphene.
FreeVoltTM engineers succeeded in making a breakthrough. It proved to be a hybrid technology combining graphene film and crystalline silicon technology. This has resulted in up to 30% increase in productivity. The graphene matrix responds much better to weak and diffuse light, and the complete shade of some cells does not affect the sensitivity of others. The applied modified photomatrix architecture allows you to achieve the transformation of kWp to kWh in a ratio of 1:1 or 100%!
In addition, the temperature reduction in the production process significantly reduces the amount of accidental damage in both the production and assembly of cells. Our engineers went a step further and designed PV GrafTM so that even the resulting damage only minimally affects cell performance. This allowed the warranty period to be extended to 30 years for both the product and its performance. This translates directly into an increase in investment savings.
PV GrafTM is another step on the FreeVoltTM path to achieve the main goal of energy saving. We have developed this technology with a view to developing the entire PV industry. We are convinced that, given the advantage of the current solutions, it will soon become a standard.
